Different Abilities
An ASD/social and communication skills half a day training workshop for training providers
What do the following `World Changers` Albert Einstein, Satoshi Tajiri (She created and designed Pokemon) Bill Gates, Beethoven, Charles Darwin and Michael Jackson, have in common? They all have or are suspected of having the autism spectrum disorder......."ASPERGER SYNDROME!"
The social and communication skills associated with Asperger Syndrome, often mask the `different abilities` associated with this particular autism spectrum disorder. The `Different Abilities` workshop will empower you with the tools to:
* Identify the key traits associated with those apprentices who have an autism spectrum disorder such as Asperger Syndrome
* Use specific techniques to assess and prepare apprentices with Asperger Syndrome for interviews and the workplace
* Recommend the reasonable adjustments that employers need to make for apprentices with Asperger Syndrome
Following the session, attendees will receive a social and communication skills toolkit which builds on the material delivered in the session
This dynamic and interactive workshop will not only elevate your profile as an equal opportunities training provider but it will also give young people with Asperger Syndrome the chance to use and develop their often extraordinary gifts and abilities for the benefit of any organisation choosing to train an apprentice with Asperger Syndrome
